And just like that…summer’s almost over. I realized this morning that since I leave for Italy next week (more on that soon!) that this is likely my last week of summer work wardrobe options. Therefore, I must squeeze in my final wearing of some of my favorite summer items before they get packed away for the season. Not that I don’t love the warm weather, but I am honestly more than ready for fall to arrive! We’ll see how long I can stretch out my cotton pencils skirts but some items will probably have to take their leave sooner than others. Like my J.Crew pinwheel eyelet capris. I paired them today with another one of my summer favorites, the J.Crew Everly mirror metallic pumps and the J.Crew Factory version of the polka-dot Blythe blouse.
I was excited to pick up this blouse at Factory this season since I missed out on the colorway last year at Retail (this seems to be a trend now that Factory is pretty much recycling all of the Retail “hits” from last year). While I’m glad to have the blouse, it is definitely thinner than my retail Blythes, and thinner than my other solid Factory Blythes. As you can see, it’s pretty sheer so I have to wear a tank underneath it. And it is 100% silk but due to how thin it is, it wrinkles pretty badly.
So these pants were definitely my sleeper summer favorite. What do you think? Time to pack these up for the season? I really don’t think I can make them work for fall…would love to hear what you think and thanks for visiting!
