This past September, I had the chance to travel to Provence and the Côte d’Azur, and it was every bit as dreamy as it sounds. From lavender-lined villages to seaside lunches overlooking the Mediterranean, it was the perfect blend of relaxation, inspiration, and of course — fabulous outfits.
A Dream Trip
I joined Meghan Donovan (@meghandono) of Wit & Whimsy and Atlas Adventures (@atlasadventurestrips) for a week exploring the South of France with 21 other women — all of whom I’d never met before!
It was my first time traveling internationally on my own and my first group trip. I’ll admit, it was a little outside my comfort zone — but it turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.
Each stop brought something new:
- Provence — charming cobblestone towns, lavender fields, and leisurely wine tastings.
- Antibes and the Côte d’Azur — seaside views, rosé in hand, and chic dinners under the stars.
By the end of the trip, I left not just with beautiful memories but new friendships and a fresh spark of inspiration that led me to start The Fab Life Insider newsletter.
What I Wore in Provence & the Côte d’Azur
When I plan vacation wardrobes, I always focus on versatile, classic pieces that can be mixed and matched. Since summer weather was still lingering, I leaned into light fabrics, soft neutrals, and breezy silhouettes.
Here’s a peek at what I packed and you can shop everything on my Shopmy page here.
1. Chic Neutrals in Paris
Before heading south, I spent two days in Paris. A trench coat, neutral short-sleeve sweaters, and dark denim kept me stylish yet practical for city strolls and café stops.
2. Effortless Dresses for Provence
Dresses were my go-to for day trips, winery lunches, and group dinners — one-and-done outfits that always feel put-together. (You can shop my exact and similar looks on my ShopMy page or LTK.)
3. Comfortable but Cute Shoes
I brought sneakers that handled cobblestones with ease and flat sandals for evenings. Pro tip: pack fewer pairs and focus on ones that mix well with multiple looks.
4. The Denim Lady Jacket
My secret weapon! This elevated denim jacket paired perfectly with dresses or wide-leg pants for that polished “French girl” finish. Light layers were essential — mornings and evenings were cool even in late summer.
Packing Philosophy: Confidence Through Curation
For me, travel styling is about more than packing clothes — it’s curating pieces that make you feel confident, comfortable, and effortlessly chic from morning coffee to sunset dinner.
I’ve been getting requests for personalized travel styling services, and I can’t wait to share more about that soon. (If you’re interested, make sure you’re subscribed to The Fab Life Insider on Substack!)
